Ingredients

  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 1/4 cup flour
  • 1/4 teaspoon cumin
  • 1/2 cup orange juice
  • 1 1/2 cups turkey or chicken broth
  • 1/4 teaspoon orange zest
  • Salt and white pepper to taste

Directions

    Melt butter in saucepan over medium-high heat.

    Add flour, cumin stirring with a whisk.

    Gradually add orange juice plus chicken broth whisking until blended.

    Cook for 2-3 minutes until gravy is thick, stirring constantly.

    Stir in orange zest and season with salt and pepper.

    Spice it up by adding ground chile powder to the gravy. Reserve extra turkey or chicken to thin out gravy if it should start to thicken.
