Precalienta el horno a 350° F. Engrasa un molde de 13 x 9 pulgadas y enharínalo ligeramente. En un recipiente grande, bate la mezcla para torta, el agua, el aceite, la vainilla y los huevos a una velocidad baja, y hazlo por 30 segundos, después, a una velocidad mediana, bate por 2 minutos, rozando el recipiente ocasionalmente. Vierte esta mezcla en un molde.

Hornea de 29 a 34 minutos o hasta que los bordes estén dorados, e inserta un cuchillo en el centro, hasta que salga limpio. Deja reposar 5 minutos. Hazles agujeros al pastel (torta) cada 1/2 pulgada con un tenedor largo. Limpia el tenedor ocasionalmente, para evitar que se pegue.

En un recipiente hondo grande, revuelve la leche condensada, la leche evaporada y la crema batida hasta que estén bien mezcladas. Con mucho cuidado, viértelas sobre la superficie del pastel. Cúbrelo (con cuidado se puede pegar a la superficie del pastel) y refrigéralo hasta que la mezcla sea absorbida por la torta, aproximadamente una hora. Extiende el frosting sobre el pastel. Guárdalo en el refrigerador.
