It’s Halloween time! The perfect opportunity to play with our food. This year, we are having a Halloween-themed party and it calls for lots of appetizers, treats and kid-friendly food. With just a few leftover apples and some Pillsbury™ Cinnamon Rolls, I was able to create some fun mummy heads with candy eyes. You only need a few minutes and your imagination! This is a wonderful project to involve the kids and let them create their own cinnamon apple mummy expression. Happy Halloween!

Cinnamon Rolls

Ingredients

  • 1 can Pillsbury™ refrigerated cinnamon rolls with cream cheese icing
  • 2 green apples, sliced in 6 wedges
  • Candy eyes, as needed

Directions

    Preheat oven to 350 °F.
  • 2
    Spray a large baking sheet with non-stick cooking spray.
  • 3
    Pull apart each cinnamon roll and tear in half. Roll a large strip between palms of your hand. Roll each strip around each apple slice. Pinching then in the dough to secure.

    Bake for 17 minutes or until golden. Drizzle with cream cheese and let cool.

    Insert candy eyes to make mummy face expressions. Serve and enjoy!

Expert Tips

  • Don’t have apples? Use pears instead.
