How to Make Flan
Peruvian Arroz con Pollo
Winter Fruit Kabobs with Peach Glaze
winter fruit kabobs with peach glaze
cups bite-size pieces assorted fresh fruit (pineapple, pears, apples, kiwifruit, strawberries)
cup peach or apricot preserves
tablespoons butter or margarine
tablespoons orange-flavored liqueur or orange juice
teaspoon ground cinnamon
Thread 4 to 6 pieces of fruit on each of sixteen 8-inch skewers. Place skewers on large cookie sheet; set aside.
Heat preserves, butter, liqueur and cinnamon in 1-quart saucepan over medium-high heat, stirring frequently, until butter is melted. Brush about 1/4 to 1/3 cup of preserves mixture over kabobs; reserve remaining preserves mixture.
Set oven control to broil. Broil kabobs with tops 4 to 6 inches from heat 2 minutes or until fruit is hot and glaze is bubbly. Serve warm or cold with remaining preserves mixture.
If using bamboo skewers, soak in water at least 30 minutes before using to prevent burning.
Speed the preparation of these yummy kabobs by purchasing fruit that's already cut up.
