Summertime is all about get-togethers with family and friends. And, of course, every gathering should have delicious food to share. But in my case, whatever I prepare should not only taste good, but also be easy and budget-friendly to whip up. This white cheese and jalapeño dip fits the bill perfectly. Also, I assure you the flavor will delight everyone you invite. Serve with Totino’s™ Pizza Rolls, chips or slices of French bread. Enjoy! MORE + LESS -

Ingredients

oz white cheddar cheese, shredded

tablespoon cornstarch

can (12 oz) evaporated milk

jalapeño, seeded and diced
1/4
teaspoon cayenne pepper
1/2
teaspoon onion powder
1/2
teaspoon garlic powder
1
teaspoon Kosher salt (1/2 teaspoon of regular salt)

    Place all the ingredients in a small pot. Warm over medium heat for about 5 minutes, or until the cheese has melted and all the ingredients are fully incorporated. Taste and adjust seasoning, adding more salt and pepper, to taste, if necessary.

    Transfer the dip to a serving dish and serve immediately.

Expert Tips

  • As the dip cools it will thicken. Add some milk to thin out until of the desired texture.
  • Refrigerate, and reheat in the microwave when ready to serve.
