This cranberry sauce is the perfect side for your Thanksgiving dinner. Besides, you can make this recipe with fresh or frozen cranberries.

Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 cups packed brown sugar
  • 1 cup orange juice
  • 4 cups fresh or frozen (do not thaw) cranberries
  • 1 tablespoon grated orange peel

Directions

    In 3-quart saucepan, heat brown sugar and orange juice to boiling over medium heat, stirring frequently. Boil 5 minutes, stirring occasionally.

    Stir in cranberries. Heat to boiling. Boil 5 to 8 minutes, stirring frequently, until cranberries are popped and mixture has thickened. Stir in orange peel.

    Cover; refrigerate about 3 hours or until chilled before serving.
