Ingredients

  • 16 large shrimp (jumbo)
  • Fresh lemon juice, from about 3 to 4 lemons
  • 3 cloves of garlic, minced or paste
  • Salt, if desired
  • Ground black pepper, if desired
  • 4 wooden skewers
  • 1 teaspoon of olive oil

Directions

  • 1
    Wash and clean shrimp.
  • 2
    Season with lemon, garlic, salt and pepper.
  • 3
    Insert into wooden skewers. Repeat action until skewers are filled with shrimp.

    Brush shrimp skewers with olive oil. Grill over medium heat uncovered for about 8 to 15 minutes turning them once or until shrimp turns pink.

    Serve with potatoes (papas) a la huancaína.

    You can alternate shrimp on the skewers with peppers, pineapple or onions, whatever you like!
