Prepared with rice and a touch of cinnamon, agua de horchata is a classic of Mexican cuisine. This horchata fruit punch was inspired by one of my sisters-in-law who always serves her agua de horchata with sliced strawberries. Like her, I started adding sliced strawberries, but when I had more fruits in my fridge, I added a bit of all I could find: kiwi fruit, blackberries, cherries, nectarines, mangoes... A bit of everything! What I like the most of this agua fresca is that after drinking it, my kids always look for a spoon to eat the fruit left at the bottom of the glass. If you are looking for a way of offering more seasonal fruits to your family, this agua fresca is great for you!
