Making cheese and spinach pizza is fun and trendy. It’s so good because you can prepare it in a snap and you can use any ingredients you want. The pizza will be delicious and you’ll want to make it over and over again. Since you don’t need any flour or yeast, you won’t have to wait hours for the dough to rise enough to be perfect, which is a basic step when making classic pizzas. As you can see in this recipe, you probably already have all of the ingredients at home. So, don’t wait, just get to work! You’ll love the results.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup spinach
  • 1 egg
  • 2 cups mozzarella cheese, shredded
  • 1/2 teaspoon oregano
  • Salt and pepper
  • 1/3 cup tomato sauce for pizza
  • 1 small tomato, sliced
  • 2 mushrooms, cut into thin slices
  • 1/3 cup chopped ham
  • 6 black olives, sliced
  • 1 tablespoon of olive oil

Directions

  • 1
    Preheat the oven to 400°F.
  • 2
Finely chop the spinach and mix it with the egg, mozzarella cheese, oregano, salt, and pepper. You can use your hands or a food processor to do this, but try to leave the dough a bit thick and don’t grind it too much.
  • 3
Grease up a personal pizza sheet, cover with parchment paper, apply a thin layer of oil and spread the spinach mix.
  • 4
Bake for 15 minutes or until the edge is slightly golden.
  • 5
Remove the spinach and cheese base from the oven and cover with the pizza sauce.
  • 6
Cover with mozzarella cheese, tomato slices, mushrooms, and chopped ham. Add sliced black olives. Season with salt and pepper, drizzle with olive oil and bake for 4 minutes or until the cheese is melted.
  • 7
    Serve immediately.

Expert Tips

  • tip 1
Substitute the ham with any cold meat.
  • tip 2
Turn this into a vegetarian pizza by replacing the ham with artichoke hearts, hearts of palm or asparagus.
