Celebrate the weekend by surprising your family with bake donuts. I always keep a delicious Betty Crocker™ cake mix in my pantry for whenever I want to whip up these easy to make baked donuts, but don’t forget the sprinkles!

Ingredients

  • 1 box Betty Crocker™ Super Moist™ Chocolate Fudge Cake Mix
  • 1 Egg
  • 1/4 Cup Vegetable Oil
  • 1 cup Water
  • 1 cup confectioners' sugar
  • 4 tablespoons cocoa powder
  • 2 tablespoons milk
  • 1 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • Sprinkles

Directions

    Preheat oven to 425°F. Liberally spray a 6 cavity donut pan with nonstick cooking spray.

    In a large mixing bowl combine cake mix, egg, water and vegetable oil; stir well.

    Spoon batter three quarters full into donut pan. Bake for 17-20 minutes or until toothpick inserted in comes out clean.

    Remove from oven, allow to cool for 3 minutes in pan then carefully remove from pan; place on cooling rack.

    To make glaze, whisk together confectioner’s sugar, cocoa powder, milk and vanilla until smooth.

    Dip each donut into chocolate glaze, decorate with sprinkles and return to cooling rack to set.

    Swap Out: Use any cake mix to make these donuts. Dip them in white chocolate and decorate them with chopped nuts, toasted coconut or dried fruit.
