Sunday morning pancakes are a tradition in our home, but whole grain flour wasn’t always in the recipe. I finally sat down and figured out how to add whole grain pancakes to our weekend rituals with this delicious whole grain blueberry and banana pancakes recipe. MORE + LESS -

Ingredients

cup whole wheat flour

teaspoons baking powder

teaspoon salt

teaspoons cinnamon

tablespoon sugar

egg
1 1/4
cup milk
1
banana, mashed
1
cup blueberries, fresh or frozen

tablespoons butter

    Begin by mixing all dry ingredients together until well incorporated. Set aside. Whisk egg and milk together. Pour slowly into dry ingredients and mix until you’ve created a smooth, batter consistency.

    Add mashed banana and blueberry and stir until incorporated.

    Melt butter in a heavy-bottom frying pan over medium heat. Pour approximately 1/4 cup of the batter into the pan. Let cook slowly and turn once the bottom has become golden brown. Cook the other side using the same method. Serve and enjoy!
