Tomato and Greek Yogurt Dip

I’ve been experimenting with different types of dips this summer. Check out this light Greek yogurt tomato dip for instance. I know I’m not reinventing the wheel here, but it’s definitely an uncommon type of dip–at least in my neck of the woods, anyways. Using yogurt instead of sour cream is supposed to be a calorie saver, which is a big plus in a lot of people’s books. It could also be used as a savory or sweet dish; in this instance, I decided to go with savory and used tomatoes. The taste is great and I love to dip my chips or carrots in it. Try it out this summer!

Ingredients

  • 1 cup Greek yogurt
  • 1 cup cherry tomatoes, cut into fourths
  • 1/8 cup chopped cilantro
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt

Directions

  • 1
    Spoon Greek yogurt into a bowl.
  • 2
    Cut individual cherry tomatoes into four equal pieces, and add them to the yogurt.

    Add chopped cilantro and salt to the mix, stirring to combine all ingredients.
