Ingredients

  • 3 slices of sandwich bread
  • Bacon strips
  • 3 cherry tomatoes cut in halves
  • 2 lettuce leaves
  • Candy sticks or straws to put the skewers together

Directions

  • 1
Cut the crust from the bread.
  • 2
Shape the bread slices with cookie cutters.
  • 3
Brown the bacon strips on a pan until they’re crunchy. Get rid of the excess fat by placing them on paper towels and set aside.
  • 4
Put one of the bread slices into the skewer. Then add some bacon.
  • 5
Add the lettuce and the cherry tomato cut in halves.
  • 6
Put more bacon and finish with another slice of bread.

Expert Tips

  • tip 1
To avoid accidents with children, use candy sticks or straws instead of wooden skewers. You can also use cookie cutters to cut eye-catching figures from the sandwich ingredients.
