Ingredients

  • 1 tablespoon butter
  • 1 cup Honey Nut Cheerios™
  • 1/3 cup almond, slivers
  • 8 oz ricotta cheese (part-skim or whole)
  • 2 tablespoons condensed milk
  • 2 cups assorted berries (strawberry chunks, blackberries, blueberries and raspberries)
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 2 tablespoons sugar

Directions

  • 1
Place the butter, Cheerios™ and almonds in a small skillet. Cook over medium heat, stirring occasionally, until the butter melts. Then continue stirring until the butter is absorbed and the almonds and Cheerios™ are light golden brown, about 10 minutes. Let it cool.
  • 2
Combine the ricotta and condensed milk, stir well and taste. If you want it sweeter, add more condensed milk.
  • 3
Place 1 cup of berries, the lemon juice and the sugar in the blender or food processor. Process until you have a purée. Set aside.
  • 4
To assemble it, place 1 full tablespoon of ricotta at the bottom of each glass, followed by 1 tablespoon of berry purée, 2 tablespoons of fresh berries, another layer of ricotta and, lastly, a tablespoon of Cheerios™ and almonds. Serve immediately.

Expert Tips

  • tip 1
You can also serve it with different stations: berries, ricotta and Cheerios™. That way, every guest can choose what they want.
  • tip 2
If you want to prepare the glasses beforehand, don’t include the Cheerios™; add those just before serving. Cheerios™ will soften with the ricotta’s moisture.
  • tip 3
You can assemble the glasses (without the Cheerios™) up to 4 hours in advance and refrigerate.
