Fruit and vegetable smoothies are an excellent source of vitamins and fiber. You can make them even more nutritious by adding superfoods to the mix. Maqui is one such food: a wild berry that grows in southern Chile and Argentina; it’s an excellent anti-oxidant.

Ingredients

  • 1 banana
  • 1 pink grapefruit, peeled and seeded
  • 2 cups berries (strawberries, blueberries, raspberries)
  • 2 tablespoons Maqui berry powder
  • 1 cup milk or coconut water
  • 1 tablespoon honey, optional

Directions

  • 1
    Place all ingredients in a blender and process until you obtain a homogenous texture.

    Serve immediately.
