Traditionally eaten during Lent, hot cross buns are sweet buns made with dried fruit. They feature a cross piped of icing and are made using yeast. For those who are nervous to work with yeast, we’ve decided to simplify the recipe and create a hot cross bun muffin, which still features all the beloved flavors of a traditional hot cross bun but without using that ingredient.
