Ingredients

can (16.3 oz) Pillsbury™ Grands!™ refrigerated biscuits (8 biscuits)

teaspoons chipotle sauce
3
tablespoons mayonnaise
8
tablespoons canned refried beans

thin slices queso fresco or sliced fresh mozzarella cheese (8 oz)
16
slices (0.5 oz each) very thinly sliced cooked ham (8 oz total from deli)
2
plum (Roma) tomatoes, sliced (16 slices)
Romaine leaves, if desired
1
large avocado, peeled, pitted and sliced

    Heat regular or Belgian waffle maker according to manufacturer’s directions. Separate dough into 8 biscuits. Separate each biscuit into 2 layers. Press or roll each to form 4-inch round. In small bowl, mix chipotle and mayonnaise; set aside.

    Lightly grease waffle maker. Depending on size of waffle maker, place 1 or 2 biscuit rounds at a time on hot waffle maker; close. Bake about 2 minutes or until golden brown. Remove to cooling rack. While warm, carefully spread 1 teaspoon chipotle mayonnaise over 8 waffles. On remaining waffles, spread refried beans.

    To assemble sandwiches, divide cheese and ham evenly among 8 biscuits with chipotle mayo; add tomato and romaine. Top each with avocado and a waffle with refried beans side down. Press. Cut in half, and serve.

Expert Tips

  • Ask at your deli for sliced turkey--a different touch to these favorites!
  • Omit the chipotle mayo, and mix mayo and tomatillo salsa for a different touch.
