You’ll be delighted by how easy it is to prepare dulce de coco. This is one of those totally simple recipes that we just love, because all we need to do is mix a few ingredients and then bake them. It’s that easy! I like to have it with a cup of tea, but I know that many people will prefer coffee. What will you have it with?

Ingredients

  • 1 grated coconut
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 3 egg yolks
  • 1 cup cream
  • 1/2 cup condensed milk
  • 2 tablespoons flour
  • Coconut oil (optional)

Directions

    Preheat the oven to 350°F.
  • 2
    In a bowl, mix the grated coconut with the rest of the ingredients.

    Butter a baking dish, preferably with coconut oil.
  • 4
    Pour the mixture into the dish and bake it for 30 minutes or until the candy has condensed.

    Let it cool down, remove from the dish and serve in individual portions.

    If you want to use the sweet grated coconut you can find at the market, use only half the sugar and condensed milk in this recipe.
