Ingredients

8-oz package Pillsbury™ original crescent rolls
1
cup cooked chicken, shredded
1
poblano pepper (Roasted and peeled with seeds removed. Slice in strips.)
1/2
cup shredded Monterrey Jack cheese, plus 2 tablespoons for garnish

    Preheat oven to 350 °F.
  • 2
    Unroll 2 crescent triangles and spread them out to form 1 square. Place 1/4 cup chicken, a few strips of poblano pepper and 1 tablespoon of cheese in the center of the square.

    Pinch together the corners of the dough square to form a pouch with chicken, peppers and cheese filling. Repeat the above steps to form 4 pouches.

    Place dough pouches on a baking tray 2 inches apart. Bake for 15 minutes or until golden brown.

    Remove from oven and immediately sprinkle with remaining cheese for garnish.

Expert Tips

  • Omit chicken and replace with chopped squash for a vegetarian variation of this dish.
