Biscuits Topped with Pear and Brie

These little biscuits are perfect as an appetizer for special occasions such as Mother’s Day, Easter or any other special event. They are perfect because, in addition to being delicious, they won’t keep you in the kitchen for a long time. They can be put together quickly! I advise you to make enough; they tend to disappear quite fast!

Ingredients

  • 1 can (10.2 oz) refrigerated Pillsbury™ Grands!™ Southern Homestyle Buttermilk Biscuits (5 Count)
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 1 tablespoon sugar
  • 1 tablespoon balsamic vinegar
  • 1 pear
  • 4 oz Brie
  • Thyme sprigs, for garnish

Directions

    Preheat oven to 350° F.
  • 2
    Open biscuits and divide them into two layers.
  • 3
    Place them on baking sheet and bake for 10 minutes. Set aside.

    Melt butter on medium heat and add sugar.
  • 5
    Peal the pear and cut it into thick round slices.
  • 6
    Add pear to melted butter and sugar, and cook until slightly softened.

    Add vinegar and let cook for another 3 minutes. Set aside.

    Cut Brie and place a piece on each biscuit.
  • 9
    Cover with a slice of pear and bake again until cheese melts.
  • 10
    Garnish with thyme sprigs and serve.

    For a different taste, use green apples instead of pears.
