Expert Tips

In this case I used shrimp, but you can also use chicken or ground beef.

Pizza and tacos are probably the two dishes kids love most (adults too). What do you think about combining both dishes to create this delicious taco pizza with shrimp? If you are having guests over and you want to surprise them with a pretty dish with the perfect flavor, then today I will share with you how to prepare this shrimp pizza, it’s very easy and doesn't take very much time.

Directions

  • 1 Add the chili powder to the shrimp. Sauté the shrimp in a nonstick pan for approximately 6 to 7 minutes or until the shrimp are pink.
  • 2 Preheat the oven to 400°F. Add cooking spray to cook a nonstick baking dish (15x10 or bigger). Unroll the dough in the baking dish, use your fingers to apply pressure to the dough starting from the center and moving out. Do this until you have filled the pan with the dough.
  • 3 Cover the dough with the refried beans, but leave 1 inch clean on the borders. Sprinkle Monterrey Jack cheese on top. Bake the pizza for about 15 minutes, or until the cheese has melted.
  • 4 Remove the tray from the oven and cover with shrimp, chopped lettuce, tomato, avocado, onion and cilantro. Serve with your favorite sauce.
