Looking for a recipe to use your Thanksgiving leftover turkey and cranberry sauce? Search no more! This delicious bread ring is easy, delicious and you can eat it hot or cold. I suggest that you buy a few rolls of Pillsbury™ Butter Flake Crescent Rolls to keep in your refrigerator; that way you’ll have them on hand and you can make this recipe in less than an hour. This recipe has a light smoky and spicy flavor thanks to the chipotle pepper. If your family is not a fan of spicy peppers, I suggest you use less of it. Its flavor truly enhances the sweetness of the cranberry sauce!

Ingredients

  • 2 cans (8 oz) refrigerated Pillsbury™ Butter Flake Crescent Rolls (8 Count)
  • 1/2 cup cranberry sauce
  • 1 chipotle pepper in adobo, deveined
  • 10 oz cooked turkey, pulled apart
  • 2 green onions, finely chopped
  • 5 oz quesadilla cheese, sliced

Directions

  • 1
    Preheat oven to 350° F.
  • 2
Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  • 3
Open a can of Pillsbury™ Butter Flake Crescent Rolls and separate each of the triangle parts. Take a triangle and place it on one of the edges of the baking sheet with the widest part towards the center and the thin part towards the edge. Take another triangle and place it overlapping the previous triangle. Repeat the process with all the triangles until you have the shape of a circle. You’ll see that it resembles a sun with the thickest part giving shape to the ring. Set aside.
  • 4
Combine cranberry sauce with chipotle pepper, mix well. Add shredded turkey meat, green onions and combine everything with the sauce.
  • 5
Add a layer of cheese to the ring of triangles. Add another layer with the meat and cranberry sauce. Carefully take one of the triangle tips, cover the meat and fold it under. Repeat with each triangle.
  • 6
Bake for 17-20 minutes until the dough is cooked and golden on the outside. Let cool for 5 minutes and serve.

Expert Tips

  • tip 1
If not everyone in your family enjoys cranberry sauce, make the filling with the turkey and cheese and serve the cranberry sauce on the side.
  • tip 2
I recommend using the turkey breast, but you can also use meat from the turkey thighs.
