Roast beef is one of my favorite kinds of sandwiches. The meat has a ton of flavor so it doesn't need too many extra ingredients and can be enjoyed cold or warm. It's also great when served with slices of cheese. I like preparing mine with homemade mayo, a very important ingredient when it's time to build a sandwich.

Ingredients

For the mayonnaise

  • 1 egg
  • 1 cup oil
  • Juice from 1/2 lemon
  • Salt, to taste

For the sandwich

  • 2 soft sandwich breads
  • 1/4 cup mustard (optional)
  • Lettuce 4-6
  • 1/2 lb roast beef sliced
  • 6 slices cheese, your preference

Directions
