When it comes to atole, orange atole is not all that popular, or at least not in the part of Mexico where I grew up, but of course, that doesn't make it any less delicious. One of the most common ways of preparing it is by using corn flour, which makes it thicker and adds a scrumptious flavor.
Orange atole goes well with tamales or pan dulce. You can prepare it with water if you want it to be lighter, or you can just use milk. No matter what you use, it’s really delicious.
