Ingredients

cups long grain rice

garlic cloves, mashed

cups hot water

tablespoon olive oil or safflower oil

teaspoon sea salt

    Place a large pan on the stovetop, add oil and cook the garlic.

    Add sea salt and rice, and stir well with a wooden spoon.

    Add the hot water, lower heat and cover.

    Cook the rice for 20 minutes.

    Serve warm with slices of plantain or avocado.
