Grape and Blueberry Mini Kabobs

Fruits are one of the best foods to enjoy during the summer. With their natural sweetness and many properties, they are the perfect snack any time of day and for any celebration. Just recently we celebrated a birthday for the youngest girl in the family, and being that it's summer, coming up with a menu can be a challenge. The idea was to choose refreshing meals that are low on calories and kids enjoy. Fruits are the perfect option. That's how I came up with the idea for these mini kabobs with different types of fruits in the shape of caterpillars.

Ingredients

  • 1/2 lb grapes
  • 3 oz blueberries

Directions

  • 1
    Wash the fruit and let them dry.
  • 2
    Insert 3 grapes on a toothpick, or as many as you can insert to cover up the toothpick.
  • 3
    Take another toothpick and break it in half.
  • 4
    Insert the 2 halves as antennae and 2 where the eyes go. Stick blueberries on the toothpicks that make the eyes.
  • 5
    Serve and enjoy!
