From time to time, I have friends over that are vegetarians. I like to prepare this little dessert for them. It’s easy to make, does not require a lot of ingredients, and is loved by everyone! The kids can help you make this one, mine love to coat the tortillas in the sugar mixture.

Ingredients

  • 1 dozen corn tortillas
  • 1/2 cup powdered sugar
  • 2 teaspoons cinnamon
  • 1/2 teaspoon cocoa
  • Oil to cook

Directions

    Soften corn tortillas in heated oil, then stack and cut them into eight pieces each.
  • 2
    Mix powdered sugar, cinnamon and cocoa in a small paper bag (a lunch bag works well).
  • 3
    Cook small pieces of tortilla in the hot oil until crisp, but not brown.
  • 4
    Drain and put into the bag and shake to coat with the sugar mixture.
