At kids' parties, it's common to serve bite-size snacks known as "pigs in a blanket." But there's a Latin version of this treat, which I've prepared today to share with you. The difference is that in place of hot dogs, we've used chorizos, the kind that is often grilled and perfectly paired with bread and different dressings. They're all the more delicious with mustard, ketchup or cilantro sauce, and some claim they taste even better when served with cold beer. I couldn't agree more!

Ingredients

  • 5 chorizos
  • 1 can (10.2 oz) refrigerated Pillsbury™ Grands!™ Southern Homestyle Buttermilk Biscuits (5 Count)
  • Ketchup, to taste (optional)
  • Cilantro sauce, to taste (optional)
  • Mustard, to taste (optional)

Directions

  • 1
    Preheat the oven to 375°F.
  • 2
Arrange the chorizos on a baking sheet and bake for approximately 10 minutes.
  • 3
Remove from the oven and set aside while you prepare the dough.
  • 4
Open the package of dough and separate into the individual biscuits, unrolling each one halfway and pressing flat with a rolling pin.
  • 5
Wrap the dough around each chorizo, making sure it is sealed around the "chori" before baking.
  • 6
Place chorizos back in the oven and cook until the dough is golden dough, for about 15 minutes.
  • 7
Serve with the sauces, if desired.
