This recipe, a variation of traditional bruschetta, uses grapes. Grapes are a delicious fruit and the perfect addition to salty dishes. Ingredients

garlic cloves, chopped

cup of extra virgin olive oil

teaspoon of salt

oz chicken breast, shredded or cut into strips

oz shredded Monterey jack cheese

cup seedless grapes, any color you like and cut in half

tablespoon of chives, chopped

    Preheat the oven (broil) to 550°F.
  • 2
    Mix the garlic, olive oil and salt in a small bowl.
  • 3
    Cut the baguette into slices and place them in a baking tray.
  • 4
    Use a brush to moisten the slices of bread with the oil and garlic mixture. Bake the bread for 1-2 minutes on each side or until they've browned. The bread should be toasted on the outside, but soft in the middle.

    Place 1 spoonful of chicken and 3 grape halves on each slice of bread. Then, cover each slice with two tablespoons of cheese.

    Place the tray in the oven again for 2-3 minutes or until the cheese has melted.

    Serve the bruschetta on a dish and sprinkle with chives and pepper.
