Who doesn’t love starting their day with a delicious dessert? And if the “dessert” ends up being something wholesome, it's even better! These mini tarts are filled with a natilla made with yogurt and chia seeds. They're so delicious that you can serve it at your next family reunion, like the Christmas parties that are coming, but you can also serve it as a nutritional dessert.

Ingredients

  • 2 cups plain yogurt
  • 6 tablespoons chia seeds
  • 4 tablespoons honey
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 1 pinch of salt
  • 1 can (8 oz) refrigerated Pillsbury™ Original Crescent Rolls (8 Count)
  • Fresh seasonal fruit

Directions

  • 1
Mix the yogurt, chia seeds, honey, vanilla extract and salt in a bowl. Let sit for 15 minutes. Cover the mixture and refrigerate overnight.
  • 2
Preheat the oven to 350°F. Sprinkle a cupcake baking tin with cooking spray. Open the dough and extend it using a rolling pin to seal the perforated triangles. Cut the dough into 12 squares. Place each square in the cupcake openings, use your hands to flatten and extend the dough to cover the inside of the cups. Poke the dough several times to prevent them from inflating while baking.
  • 3
Bake at 350°F for 12 to 15 minutes or until they've lightly browned. Remove from the oven and let cool. If the dough inflated during the baking process, just remove a bit of the dough from the middle with a spoon to make space for the filling.
  • 4
Fill each bread cup with two tablespoons of the chia natilla. Decorate with seasonal fruit and enjoy!
