Cabbage is one of those ingredients we don't use very often since it's not very popular, however it is a simple, tasty and economical option. My mom would always prepare different vegetables for us when we were little and this cabbage recipe is definitely the best I've ever taste. Today I share it with you to prepare for your family. Enjoy!

Ingredients

  • 1 cabbage
  • 8 slices of fresh mozzarella
  • 1 cup of grated parmesan cheese
  • 6 cups of Muir Glen™ fire roasted tomato pasta sauce
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Directions

  • 1
Place a pot on the stove and add 3 cups of water. Let the water come to a boil and add the whole head of cabbage and cook from 8-10 at most.
  • 2
Strain the hot water and add cold water to prevent the cabbage from continuing to cook. Use a knife to cut the stem off the cabbage and carefully remove the leaves one by one.
  • 3
Once you have eight leaves, fill each with the mozzarella cheese and a bit of parmesan. Roll and place in a container.
  • 4
Place another pot on the stove and heat the roasted tomato sauce and season with salt and pepper. Let it come to a boil and then place the rolls in the sauce. Cover and let good until the cheese has melted.
  • 5
Serve immediately and enjoy with the family.
