Precalienta el horno a 400ºF. Engrasa 12 moldes medianos para panquecitos con manteca o recúbrelos con moldes de papel para panquecitos y rocíalos con spray para cocinar.

En un tazón grande, mezcla la harina, el cereal, el azúcar morena, el polvo de hornear, el bicarbonato de sodio y la sal. Añade el huevo, el buttermilk y el aceite, hasta que la mezcla esté húmeda. Añade las ciruelas y las nueces. Divide la pasta entre los moldes para panquecitos. Espolvorea cada panqué con un cuarto de cucharadita de azúcar granulada.
