Expert Tips

Use foam covered with wax paper in a jar or container to insert the flags more easily and you can use the Fruit Gusher™ on top to decorate.

Directions

  • 1 Cover the rice bars in white frosting.
  • 2 Open and unroll the blue Fruit by the Foot™, place the strips on top and on the bottom to create the flags, wrap the sides as well.
  • 3 To make the Nicaraguan flag, cut a small triangle out of the blue strip and stick to the middle of one of the flags.
  • 4 To create the Salvadoran flag, cut a circle from the blue and place in the middle of the second bar. You can also add blue sprinkles on both sides of the circle to simulate the lettering on the coat of arms of the Salvadoran flag.
  • 5 To create the Honduran flag place 5 sprinkles (or use sprinkle stars) in the middle of the white part like in the photo.
  • 6 Carefully and slowly insert lollipop sticks under the left side of each cereal bar.
  • 7 Use blue and green Fruit Gushers™ to place the decorations in the container.

Let’s celebrate our Hispanic heritage together! The Nicaraguan, Salvadoran and Honduran flags are very similar and that’s why we can easily create this display. If you want to put together a reunion to celebrate, these Fruit by the Foot™ flags are a great way to spend time with loved ones!
