Watermelon is one of my favorite fruits and I love incorporating it into new dishes. From a fresh salad to grilled dishes, this fruit is very versatile and delicious as part of a recipe. In general, cooking with watermelon is very easy. One of my favorite recipes is watermelon sorbet, and it only requires 4 ingredients. It’s so easy and refreshing that I always make sure to have some in my freezer.

Ingredients

  • 4 cups diced watermelon
  • 2 tablespoons agave nectar
  • Juice of 1/2 a lemon
  • Crushed ice, to taste

Directions

    Process the watermelon in a blender.
  • 2
    Strain the blended watermelon, serve in a glass and add agave and lemon juice. Taste and add more agave or lemon, if needed.

    Stir.
  • 4
    Serve in a glass with crushed ice and decorate with lemon slices.

    For a tasty margarita recipe, add a shot of tequila to each glass and stir. Decorate with mint leaves and lemon slices.
