These empanadas made with hake and shrimp are the type of appetizer that always becomes an instant favorite. I've tested this every time I include them in a party menu and I always enjoy watching them disappear in just a few seconds. Hake and shrimp empanadas are ideal for special occasions. Ingredients

tablespoon of olive oil
1/2
cup of red pepper, diced
1/4
cup of parsley, finely chopped

hake fillets

cup of shrimp, cleaned and cut in half
1
cup of mashed tomato
1
cup of white wine
1
box Pillsbury™ Refrigerated Pie Crust
1
egg, whipped
Salt to taste

    Preheat the oven to 400°F.

    Sautee the pepper, parsley, hake and shrimp with the tablespoon of olive oil.

    Add the white wine and the tomato.
  • 4
    Mix the ingredients well and cook at low heat.

    Taste and add salt if necessary.

    Use this mixture to fill the Pillsbury dough disks and seal well. You can use a fork to apply pressure to the borders.

    Place them in a baking dish and paint with the whipped egg.

    Let bake for approximately 12 minutes or until the dough turns golden brown.

    Serve immediately.

Expert Tips

  • You can use any fish you like, including canned tuna.
