Celebrate Easter and surprise your guests with this beautiful layered Easter cake made with Betty Crocker™ Super Moist™ cake mix and frosting.


  • 1 box Betty Crocker™ Super Moist™ yellow cake mix
  • Water, vegetable oil and eggs called for on cake mix box
  • 1/2 cup powdered sugar
  • 1/4 cup unsweetened baking cocoa
  • 1 container Betty Crocker™ Whipped fluffy white frosting
  • 1 cup pink candy-coated chocolate candies
  • Assorted candies for eyes, nose, mouth, ears, and around outside of cake, as desired

    Heat oven to 350°F. Spray two 8- or 9-inch round cake pans with baking spray with flour.

    Make cake batter as directed on box. Remove 1 1/2 cups batter to small bowl; pour remaining batter into pans. In medium bowl, mix powdered sugar and cocoa; stir in reserved batter. Drop chocolate batter by generous tablespoons randomly onto batter in pans. Cut through batters with knife for marbled design.

    For 8-inch cakes, bake 28 to 33 minutes, 9-inch cakes, 24 to 29 minutes, or until toothpick inserted in center comes out clean. Cool in pans 10 minutes; remove from pans to cooling rack. Cool completely, about 1 hour.

    Place one cake layer on plate; frost top with small amount of frosting. Place second cake layer on top of frosted layer. Frost top and side of cake completely with frosting. Arrange pink candies over frosting to look like bunny face. Arrange assorted candies to make eyes, nose, mouth and ears. Press additional candies into frosting around outside of cake.
