I remember my long nights studying during college. I would sit in the library in order to together my study guides for midterms while my stomach was growling. The cafeteria would already be closed and there were no restaurants in sight. One day I decided to put together little trail mixes before my study sessions so I could easily sneak them into the library for my mid-study snack. I always combined sweet, salty, and sour treats. This is one of my favorites and it's also the perfect addition to a college care package. It's easy to make and all the ingredients can be safely be shipped to your college son or daughter.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup Fiber One™ cereal
  • 1/2 cup Japanese-style peanuts
  • 1/2 cup dried cranberries
  • 1/2 cup dried mango
  • 1/2 cup sunflower seeds, shelled and salted

Directions

    Place all the ingredients in a bowl and mix.

    If you want it a little sour and spicy, you can add chile lime salt to taste.
