As a little girl one of my favorite dishes was salpicón. This is a cold dish made of different pieces of meat and seasoned with pepper, salt, onion, lime, etc. I remember that we would eat it often at my grandmothers, especially in the summer. As the years went by, I forgot about this tasty dish. It wasn't until my mom decided to prepare it that it again became part of my life as a family favorite. Salpicón is a versatile dish that can be enjoyed as an appetizer or as a side.
