Expert Tips

If you have a hard time finding sea bass, you can substitute for corvina or another fish.

This sea bass in caper sauce is very easy to prepare and has proven useful on those occasions when I couldn't spend too much time in the kitchen but needed a delicious dish with few ingredients. I love fish and I try to eat it at least once a week. It's also a great option for Lent. You can also prepare the caper sauce for other occasions to serve with chicken or turkey. The result is just as delicious!

If you would like a thicker sauce, add a little flour or cornstarch.

You can also add a few stuffed olives to the recipe.

Directions

  • 1 Season the fish on both sides with salt and pepper.
  • 2 Heat the olive oil in a saucepan over medium heat. Fry the fillets on both sides until golden brown.
  • 3 To prepare the sauce, add the butter, garlic, capers, wine and lemon to a saucepan. Taste for salt and pepper.
  • 4 When the liquid begins to bubble, lower the heat and add the fillets. Cover and cook for 5 more minutes.
  • 5 Garnish with parsley and serve with rice or tostones.
