Directions

  • 1 In large bowl, break up cookie dough. Stir or knead in flour until well blended. Divide dough in half. On lightly floured surface, roll out each half of dough to 11x7-inch rectangle. Sprinkle red sugar evenly over 1 rectangle; sprinkle green sugar evenly over second rectangle.
  • 2 Starting with shortest side, roll up each rectangle jelly-roll fashion. Wrap rolls in plastic wrap; freeze 30 minutes for easier handling.
  • 3 Heat oven to 350°F. Cut each roll into 16 slices. On ungreased cookie sheets, place slices 1 inch apart.
  • 4 Bake 8 to 11 minutes or until edges are light golden brown. Cool 1 minute; remove from cookie sheets to cooling racks.
