Expert Tips

You can use strawberries instead of blueberries if you like.

Memorial Day is an important holiday dedicated to those who have served and are serving in the U.S. military. What better way to celebrate than with pastries made with seasonal fruits? Enjoy!

You can serve this delicious cake with a side of strawberry ice cream.

Directions

  • 1 Preheat your oven to 350° F.
  • 2 Prepare the cake mix as per the instructions on the box. Pour the dough into a previously greased cake pan and bake for 30 minutes or as per the instructions.
  • 3 When it’s ready remove it from the oven and let it cool. Once cool, cover the cake with the blue raspberry frosting.
  • 4 Add the jam to a cup and mix well. Add a teaspoon of water if the jam is too thick.
  • 5 Spread the jam around on the cake and finish by adding the blackberries and blueberries. Refrigerate until you’re ready to serve.
