With basic ingredients, such as ham, cream cheese, avocados and biscuits you can create sandwiches that will disappear before your eyes. Besides being fast to prepare, they're perfect for an afternoon snack or appetizer when watching a soccer match with family. Ingredients

pack Pillsbury™ Grands!™ Homestyle refrigerated buttermilk biscuits

avocados

pickled chili pepper, deveined and finely chopped
2-3 stems of cilantro, finely chopped

teaspoon salt

package (8-oz) cream cheese
1
package (9-oz) sliced ham

    Start by pre-heating your oven to 350ºF.

    Open the package of biscuit dough and bake according to the package instructions. This should take 14-17 minutes; remove when golden-brown.

    Meanwhile, cut the avocados in half and discard the pits. Peel, then press through a strainer several times until a smooth paste is formed.

    Next, add the pickled chili pepper, cilantro and salt to the smashed avocado. Mix well and cover with plastic-wrap to keep the mixture from oxidizing and changing color.

    Make sure to have the cream cheese and ham ready close by.

    When the biscuits are done, remove from the oven and let sit for three minutes.

    To form a sandwich, use a bread knife to slice one biscuit in half. On one side of bread place a few, thin slices of cream cheese, ham and a spoon of avocado salsa. Close the sandwich and disfruta!

Expert Tips

  • Remove the cream cheese from the refrigerator right before serving; this way it will stay firm and be easier to cut.
