Ingredients

  • 12 oz baking dark chocolate
  • 1/2 cup trail mix with almonds, raisins, and pumpkin and sunflower seeds
  • 1/3 cup Multi Grain Cheerios™ cereal

Directions

  • 1
First place the pieces of dark bakers chocolate into a microwave-safe bowl. Melt in the microwave little-by-little at 20-second intervals to avoid burning. (Every microwave differs in temperature.) Make sure to stir between intervals; when your chocolate reaches a smooth consistency it's ready. If you like, you can use a bain marie to melt your chocolate as well.
  • 2
When ready, transfer your chocolate to a re-sealable plastic bag. This will serve as a piping bag when you cut-off one of the corners.
  • 3
Next, cover a baking sheet with waxed paper. Cut one corner of your chocolate piping bag and draw 20 small circles (filled) over the waxed paper. Place a bit of trail mix and Cheerios™over the center of each chocolate circle.
  • 4
Finally, refrigerate the tray of chocolates for 5 to 10 minutes or until hardened. Store your finished chocolates in a plastic container for easy transportation to camp.
