Ingredients

  • 4 cups water
  • 2 tea bags (green or herbal tea)
  • 1 lemon
  • Handful fresh mint
  • Sugar or honey, to taste (optional)

Directions

    In a tea pot or deep pot, bring water to a boil.
  • 2
    Peel the lemon, but try to remove only the outermost layer or zest.
  • 3
    Add the zest, mint leaves and tea bags to the boiling water.
  • 4
    Boil for 2 more minutes and add sugar or honey (optional.)

    Let it cool and serve over ice and lemon wedges.
