Expert Tips

You can use other summer fruits like kiwis or plums, or any seasonal fruit of your choice.

In Colombia, we tend to add cheese to a diverse selection of dishes and, with time, we noticed that it tastes great with fruits! This simple salad brings out the best of seasonal fruits like strawberries, bananas, cantaloupes and oranges... even better with cheese! Enjoy!

Directions

  • 1 Cut the cantaloupe in half, remove the seeds and the pulp with a knife.
  • 2 Dice it and set aside.
  • 3 Peel and dice the green apple.
  • 4 Slice the strawberries and banana.
  • 5 Squeeze the orange in a deep container and mix the juice with condensed milk.
  • 6 Mix all the fruits and place them in the hollowed-out melon halves.
  • 7 Sprinkle with the orange juice and condensed milk mix, and top with grated cheese.
