Ingredients

  • 1 roll French bread, sliced in 16-20 pieces
  • 1/3 cup olive oil
  • 1 cup mozzarella cheese, shredded
  • 2 jalapeño peppers, chopped
  • 2 apples, chopped
  • 1 pomegranate, seeded

Directions

  • 1
    Preheat oven to 350°F.
  • 2
    Brush bread slices with olive oil. Place on a baking sheet and bake for 10 minutes until golden brown.

    Immediately sprinkle cheese on crostinis and return to oven. Bake for 2 minutes to melt cheese.
  • 4
    Remove from oven, place crostinis on a serving plate and sprinkle with jalapeño pieces, apple pieces and pomegranate arils.

    Omit jalapeño and replace with bell pepper pieces for a kid-friendly version.
