Expert Tips

You can add pieces of feta cheese and black olives.

I love gyros! I'll eat them whether they're made with chicken, beef or lamb. The last time I prepared gyros I made them with shrimp and now they're my favorite version. What I love the most is how easy they are to prepare. You can have lunch ready in just a few minutes. Give them a try!

Directions

  • 1 Heat the oil in a medium saucepan over medium heat. Add the shrimp. Season with salt and pepper to taste. Cook for 2-3 minutes on each side or until they turn pink. Set aside.
  • 2 Heat the two pieces of pita bread in the microwave for 30 seconds.
  • 3 Place one layer of lettuce and onion over one half of each piece of bread. Then add the shrimp and yogurt sauce. Fold and serve immediately.
