Expert Tips

I like there to be chunks of potato in the soup, but if you prefer a creamy soup then just use a potato masher or a form to break them down a little more.

Directions

  • 1 Peel, wash and cut the potatoes into slices. Boil them in water until the potatoes are soft.
  • 2 Once the water starts boiling, remove most of the water (not all), be sure that there’s still a little bit left. Add the liter of milk.
  • 3 Boil the potatoes in the milk and stir until the potatoes begin to come apart.
  • 4 Season with salt to taste. I used 1 tablespoon of salt, 2 teaspoons of pepper and 2 teaspoons of garlic powder.
  • 5 Serve the soup with a bit of shredded cheese and chopped green onions.
