Expert Tips

To avoid skewer sticks from burning, soak them in cold water before assembling.

Here's my favorite recipe when I make kebabs. I hope you like it!

Directions

  • 1 Mix orange juice, honey, olive oil, soy sauce, ground bay leaves, salt and pepper.
  • 2 Marinate the pork, fruit slices and peppers in the mixture for 1 hour in the refrigerator.
  • 3 Preheat grill to medium/low temperature.
  • 4 Drain the pieces of pork and fruit from the marinade, and save the remaining mixture.
  • 5 String the ingredients on the skewers in the following order: 1 grape, 1 piece of pork, 1 slice of apple, 1 slice of peach, 1 piece of pepper, and continue in the same order until full. There should be a grape on each end.
  • 6 Place the skewers on the grill. Brush them with the remaining marinade and turn them frequently, for 10 to 15 minutes or until the meat is cooked.
  • 7 Serve garnished with orange slices and roasted asparagus.
