It’s the first thing I hear when I see my kids after school: “Mom, what is there to snack on?” Their inquiring questions are little hints for a special surprise, and I like to spoil them with this pita chip recipe and Go-Gurt™ dipping sauce. They love it!

Ingredients

  • 1 tablespoon sugar
  • 1 tablespoon poppy seeds
  • 2 pitas
  • 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
  • 4 tubes Yoplait® Go-Gurt®

Directions

  • 1
Preheat the oven to 400 °F.
  • 2
Line a baking sheet with aluminum foil.
  • 3
In a small bowl, mix the sugar and poppy seeds.
  • 4
Cut the pitas into 4 pieces each, and then cut each fourth in half until you have 8 triangles per pita, or 16 chips total.
  • 5
Put the chips in a bowl and drizzle olive oil over the top. Use your hands to mix the bread, evenly coating each piece.
  • 6
Sprinkle half the sugar and poppy seed mix over the chips, and mix to coat.
  • 7
Arrange the chips on the baking sheet and sprinkle the remaining sugar and poppy seed mix over the top. Bake for 10 minutes.
  • 8
Flip chips and bake an additional 5 minutes.
  • 9
Let cool and serve with Go-Gurt®.

Expert Tips

  • tip 1
Try using sesame or chia seeds in place of the poppy seeds.
  • tip 2
Once cool, you can store the pita chips in a sealed container for up to 4 days. They stay nice and crispy.
